Peter Hoffman, Hydrogen Energy Advocate and TTC Friend, Passes Away
It is with extreme sadness we report Peter Hoffman passed away on April 18, 2014, at the age of 78. Peter was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate of hydrogen energy since he wrote his first book "The Forever Fuel: the Story of Hydrogen" in 1981, followed by "Tomorrow's Energy: Hydrogen, fuel cells and the Prospects of a cleaner planet" in 2001 (2nd edition in 2012) He started his "Hydrogen Letter" in 1986 (renamed the "The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell letter" in 1995.)
Peter will be sorely missed by the hydrogen community for his humor and extensive global knowledge of all things hydrogen. For details on his life and many awards for his contributions to the hydrogen economy, see this link.
"Peter has been by our (hydrogen) side for many, many years, covering the freshness of the hydrogen opportunity, technology and business progress, and the ups and downs of political support. He was always a welcome presence in our lives." - Jeff Serfass, TTC President and CEO
